Course Information
9-Week Interactive Enrichment Program
Class Schedule: Wednesday Evenings (6 pm - 7:30 pm) OR Thursday Mornings (9 am - 10:30 am)
Dates: Classes begin the week September 7 and go through the week of November 9 (No class the week of MEA)
Grades: 6-8 (Ages 11-14)
Price: $575 (Non-refundable: materials purchased upon sign-up)
Course Description
Middle school is a time of rapid brain development, changing friendships, growing independence, and new academic challenges. Neuro-Navigators empowers students to understand how their brains and bodies respond to stress, so they can build confidence, resilience, and healthy coping skills.
Grounded in current neuroscience and Polyvagal Theory, this interactive course goes beyond traditional stress management or lecture-based learning. Through hands-on experiments, brain modeling, movement activities, games, and real-world scenarios, students explore how their autonomic nervous system influences emotions, behavior, learning, and relationships.
Rather than simply learning what stress is, students discover why their bodies react the way they do—and practice evidence-informed strategies to regulate their nervous systems, improve focus, navigate social challenges, and respond to difficult situations with greater awareness and control.
Key Takeaways
By the end of the program, students will be able to:
Recognize early signs of stress and identify their personal triggers before emotions become overwhelming
Understand how the autonomic nervous system influences thoughts, emotions, behavior, and learning
Apply practical, body-based regulation strategies to duce anxiety, improve focus, and recover from stressful situation, including tests and presentations
Use breathing, movement, and sensory-based techniques to support emotional regulation and resilience
Practice co-regulation skills that strengthen communication, teamwork, and healthy relationships with peers, teachers, and family members
Develop a personalized toolkit of strategies they can use at school, at home, and in everyday life to support lifelong emotional and physical wellbeing
